Welcome! I’m Dr. Dani

I help runners move past injury and back to doing what they love. My mission is to bridge the gap between rehab and performance—so you can return to running stronger, with a clear plan for lasting success!

Hi! I’m Dr. Dani—a performance physical therapist, running coach, and former NCAA Division I cross-country and track & field athlete.

I was first introduced to running in seventh grade, but I didn’t fully commit to the sport until my freshman year of high school. I became passionate about all things running and devoured every Runner’s World magazine and running book I could get my hands on. That passion eventually earned me an athletic scholarship to Florida International University (FIU), where I competed in cross-country and track & field.

Like many runners, I’ve experienced my share of injuries. I found myself stuck in a frustrating cycle: get hurt, rest for weeks, get cleared too early, get hurt again. Running was a huge part of my identity, and when I couldn’t run, I struggled emotionally.

Thankfully, I crossed paths with an incredible physical therapist who specialized in working with runners. Not only did she help me return to healthy, consistent running—she also inspired me to pursue physical therapy as a career.

Before becoming a PT, I spent three years as a middle school math and science teacher. I’d always felt drawn to the medical field, and after a life-changing mission trip to Thailand, I knew it was time to follow that calling.

While in PT school, I realized I didn’t fit the mold of a traditional clinic. I wanted to specialize in treating runners and support them beyond just rehab—I wanted to guide them all the way back to performance. As I’ve grown as a practitioner, my mission has become clear: to teach runners how to take control of their health and training.

Injuries happen. But what you do in those moments determines how you come back. I believe in accountability, resilience, empowering others, and building a running community that lifts each other up—on and off the road
